"Buy It Now" Marks the Spot

Rolling out of bed and putting on a pot of strong coffee is part of my daily routine. But leisurely eBay browsing sweetens the pot on weekends. The morning hours tick away as I search for "vintage sequins" or intentionally misspelling designer names to find a hidden treasure.

I'm trying to heed my "buy less" resolution, so I'll pass along a bit of temptation to you.

Vintage Deeply Carved Faux Ivory Clamper Cuff Bracelet

Vintage Emilio Pucci Perfume Store Display Stand
Current Bid: $9.99
Auction Ends: Jan 24, 2010 at 13:00:17 PST

I think this could be repurposed into a bar accessory atop a bar cart. It'd take some work and you might need to remove some of the divider bars, but it could be fabulous.

Vintage Christian Dior Goldtone Belt 1950s
Current Bid: $11.50

Of course my morning would have been more productive if I had showered when I actually woke up - four hours earlier - but it would have been much less fun.

Sunday Morning

On lazy Sunday mornings while my boyfriend is still asleep, my favorite thing to do is pour a large cup of coffee and scour eBay for irresistible fashion finds.

Here are some of things I've stumbled across today:
  • Vintage Maxi Dress - Maxi dresses from the 70s are all over eBay - and many resemble the modern interpretations without the inflated price tag.
  • Vintage Dior Statement Necklace - The one thing I love more than statement necklaces is vintage statement necklaces. I have one that belonged to my grandmother and I recieve compliments on it constantly. I secretly love sharing that it's vintage and knowing that they can't stop at the mall to buy the same one.
  • Vintage Dior Brooch - I'm absolutely smitten with vintage jewelry in general, but brooches really capture my heart. I have a growing collection that I add to whenever I visit an antique mall.
  • Pucci Thigh-High Boots - Unique, horrible, and worth sharing.
  • Diane von Furstenberg Cocktail Dress - I'm obsessed with DvF and this party dress is absolutely divine. If it were my size, I'd bid on it.
