{ upgrade }


There comes a time in every bloggers life that she realizes that her trusty point-and-shoot camera isn't that great. For months I had considered splurging on an SLR, but wasn't sure if the investment was worth it. The tipping point came last week when we scheduled a March vacation to Florida. I have hundreds of so-so photos from last year's trip and this year I want hundreds of gorgeous photos. I purchased the camera on Friday and spent the rest of the weekend playing with my new toy.

    Yay! I'm sure you are going to have a lot of fun and your photos will be stellar!!

    Definitely consider one more purchase - a 50 mm lens. the 1.8 shouldn't be more than $100 and the bokeh is stellar.

    WOOHOO!!! I wasn't brave enough for an SLR even though my dad could teach me how to use it so I got a DSLR, haha...

    Awesome! I have one too, the NIKON D40x..unfortunately I miss the right lens for close ups, so can't use it much yet.
