Green with Envy

A couple of weeks ago, I braved the Maxwell Street Day sales at Shopbop's brick and mortar location here in Madison, Wis. Designer names for $100 or less? I'm there - along with throngs of style-hungry girls. I tried on piles of Marc Jacobs, Diane von Furstenberg and a $50 Halston Heritage dress I so desperately wanted to love. But only one piece made its way home with me: an emerald blouse by Velvet with a Cleopatra-esque neckline.

    i love that the top has it's on built-in jewelry! stuff like that is so useful for days when you feel like being lazy but don't want to look like it. the color and pattern are so pretty. also i am crazy for that bracelet!! ~joelle

    Shopbop is one of my biggest weaknesses---I can only imagine what it would be like to go to a sale in person! You were very strong indeed to come home with only one thing---and a gorgeous find it is too!
